Rick Monday, or why I would ignore policy

Do you remember baseball player Rick Monday and his act of patriotism by stopping an individual from burning the American flag on the field of Dodger Stadium?  I agreed with the young man's free speech right to burn the flag and I agreed with Rick Monday's action to stop it.   Try burning the flag in front of me and I will applaude you and then I will do virtually anything to stop it.  Free speech cuts both ways:  the question is who can speak louder.
Fast forward 37 years.  You are a nurse.  An elderly woman faints and is obvious distress.  What would you do?  Call 911?  Good move.  Administer CPR?  Another good move.
But what if you refused to administer CPR?  I would like to believe, that if I was there, or maybe if you were there seeing this, you would knock the nurse out of the way, like Rick Monday did with the flag burning wannabe, and help the dying woman.  Simply unbelievable that in reality nothing was done and the woman died.
Regardless of policy or law, if someone is dying and you can reasonably do something about it....do it.
